Island Peak Climbing Adventure a great lesser mountain located in the middle of Imjatse valley where the name Island comes from also called ‘Imjatse Himal’ a stunning looking mountain close to Mt. After gaining much acclimatization and exercise with some practice on the climb then ready for the big day to reach on summit top of Island Peak or Imjatse Himal facing spectacular panorama of Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse, Amadablam with Baruntse and Makalu in the east. Enjoying great moments and experience on the summit of Island Peak where return journey leads down at scenic Thyangboche and its impressive monastery heading into green tree lines to reach Namche Bazaar.
From Namche on the long downhill to Dudh Kosi River valley past Sagarmatha national park and Phakding village to reach our last and final overnight around Khumbu and Everest at Lukla. Trek Itinerary Detail:Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,320 and transfer to hotel.
On arrival at Nepal international airport in Kathmandu received by White Lotus staff then drive to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city, with time to get refreshed in your hotel rooms. Then join in for group meeting and briefing regarding Island Peak Climb and trekking with early departure next morning to Lukla.Day 02: In Kathmandu option for tour and Island Peak climb preparations
A day in Kathmandu where people can join in our half day tour around interesting places of Kathmandu, as the city steeped with World Heritage Sites. This free day in Kathmandu allows you to prepare for Island Peak climb and to pack necessary gear required for the climb and trekking.Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m and walk to Phakding 2,645 m - 04 hrs.
Morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic for a scenic flight to land at Lukla town, where the walk takes you around Sherpa villages along with views of high peaks to reach at Phakding village for an overnight stop.Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.
The walk begins on the gradual winding path following Dudh Kosi River and crossing over bridges to enter Sagarmatha National Park (Sagarmatha a name for Everest in Nepali, where Sherpa of Tibetan origin calls Chomolungma,), from here into a river valley within forest area. The climb starts from the last high bridge on winding and scenic trail to reach Namche Bazaar offers great nice lodge with many shops and stores including banks and ATM facilities along with views of peaks.Day 05: In Namche for rest and acclimatization with a short hike.
Enjoy rest or free day to help and support acclimatization on this high altitude above 3,440 m high, where one can take a short hike to viewpoints and museum of great interest, facing marvelous views of Everest, Amadablam, Kwangde, with Thermasarkhu and range of peaks.Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.
Walk higher up on scenic winding trail facing views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse with magnificent Amadablam, as walk leads down for lunch stop near Imjtase River. Afternoon few hours climb into the cool shade of rhododendron, pines, magnolia, blue pines, juniper and silver fir forest to reach a scenic and beautiful spot in Thyangboche surrounded by mighty peaks with views of Everest.
At Thyangboche for an overnight stop with time to visit its interesting monastery in the shade of Everest and Amadablam mountains.Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4,365 m - 05 hrs.
Morning enjoy views of Everest and other peaks with magnificent Amadablam and then downhill walk to a river, crossing the bridge with a slow climb towards Pangboche village with close views of Amadablam peak, the walk continues to reach a scenic Imjatse Valley where our overnight stops at Dingboche located with views of Amadablam and Island peaks.Day 08: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and local hike.
Dingboche a lovely and scenic spot for rest day for acclimatization, take a short hike up to Nakarjung hill, for more excellent views of mountains facing Imjatse and Dingboche below, afternoon at leisure enjoy views of mountains.Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4,890 m - 05 hrs.
From Dingboche climb above Dingboche and beyond Imjatse valley with scenic views, and then on gentle up as altitude catches slowly to reach Thugla for lunch stop.
Afternoon leads to climb above a ridge of Thugla-La and then walk of an hour to reach at Lobuche for overnight with views of Nuptse and Lobuche peaks.Day 10: To Everest Base Camp 5,365 m back at Gorakshep 5,180 m - 06 hrs
From Lobuche to our highlight reaching Everest base camp, morning walk leads with slow climb above Khumbu glacier and moraine to reach a flat field at Gorakshep a place with few nice lodges. From Gorakshep continue to head east to reach at Everest base camp, on reaching our destination enjoy views of giant peaks with Khumbu Ice-Fall and glaciers, and then walk back to Gorakshep for an overnight stop.Day 11: Climb Kalapathar at 5,545 m and to Chhukung 4,740 m - 06 hrs.
An early morning where a hike of few hours takes you on top Kalapathar at 5,545 m, the highest spot of the adventure offers views of a mountain range with Everest and Pumori at close distance. From here descend to Gorakshep and walk downhill to Lobuche, walking past Thugla with more descend to reach Imjatse valley and its nice settlement as the walk continues on an easy downhill and short climb to Chhukung the last settlement within the east of Khumbu, at Chhukung for an overnight stop.Day: 12: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp 5,200 m - 04 hrs.
After overnight at Chukung morning walk leads to Parsya Gyab around Island Peak Base Camp, as trek takes on steep climb to cross over the moraine of Lhotse glacier, what's more, pursue a stream to a nose of Imja ice sheet, to achieve a dry lake between Lhotse and Imja glaciers at base camp around Parsya Gyab area. Evening time to unwind for short strolls and practice move, also checking the course of our climb for early next morning.Day 13: At a base camp for Training and preparation for Island Peak climb.
A rest day to support with acclimatization as well for final preparation to Island Peak summit, here time to check climbing equipment and getting ready for the climb next early morning before breaking of dawn, rest of the day engage with climbing training on ice and rocky walls at base camp.Day 14: Trek Island Peak High / Advance Camp 5,400 m - 04 hrs.
Adding one more camp to make the climb much easier and accessible where climb leads to establish high or advance camp at 5,400 m high, after base camp climb above moraine towards open gully, located between well-defined ridges to reach at high camp beneath a small hanging glacier above 5,400 m high. Here with time in the afternoon for final preparations for the big climb next early morning.Day 15: Climb to the summit of Island Peak 6,189 m / 20,305 ft- 10 hrs.
After enough exercise and practice with acclimatization day at base camp, where our adventure starts at early morning as climb leads across glacier where one needs to be careful in avoiding crevasses, as climb takes you straight north over snow-covered scree in-between a glacier to the top ridge. A tour climb over rocks and icefall section, a steep snow and ice ramp takes you at about 100 meters (300ft) to the summit on reaching the top where our adventure completes for an hour before heading descend.

Enjoying grand thrill and experience of a lifetime adventure, where morning on clearing the camp at the base of Island Peak, walk past Chhukung to reach at Dingboche for lunch stop. From Dingboche on an easy walk to reach at Pangboche on leaving beautiful Imjatse valley overnight at Pangboche village in the shade of Amadablam peak.Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar - 06 hrs.
With glorious time high above Khumbu valley morning starts to a long day walk past Thyangboche Monastery with downs and few strenuous up then on winding scenic trail to Namche for an overnight stop.Day 18: Trek to Lukla - 06 hrs.
A long day walk of more than six hours to reach Lukla on last day trek, where the route leads through villages and past Monjo and Phakding to reach at Lukla town and in the comfort of nice lodge for a final overnight stop around Khumbu and Everest region.Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel end of the service.
Morning as per time for the flight to Kathmandu transfer to Tenzing and Hillary airport in Lukla, where a sweeping smooth scenic flight of 30 minutes brings you back to city life in Kathmandu and get transferred to your hotel.Day 20: In Kathmandu spare and contingency days for individual activities.
Reserved this spare day as a contingency in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla or vice-versa, if all goes well according to our standard itinerary days enjoy a free day for individual activities.Day 21: International departure homeward bound.
As per your international flight time for homeward bound or to next respective destinations, depart from the hotel where White Lotus staff transfer you to Kathmandu International airport with final farewell after a great adventure and experience on Island Climbing Adventure and trekking.
