Tent Peak or Tharpu Chuli Climb leads you to an adventure within and beyond beautiful and scenic Annapurna Sanctuary, where walk leads you in the far flung corners away from main popular trails. Tent Peak where local name as Tharpu Chuli as listed on NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association) that controls all trekking peaks of Nepal, a striking looking peak shaped of a Tent when seen from Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp.
Tent Peak-Tharpu Chuli Climb one of the most technical mountains, where great effort and patient required and much knowledge of the climb on rocks-ice and snow sections. The grade for Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli climb as PD + means ‘Per Difficule’ comes from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing System and Classification a peak of straight-forward, encountering some few sections of high technical skill to tackle on route its summit top at above 5,663 m /18,575 ft high.
From the top feeling in high spirit and marvel spectacular scenery of surrounding landscapes with a towering range of mighty mountains that encloses Annapurna Sanctuary and Tent Peak. The walk starts from beautiful touristic Pokhara city adorned with the natural beauty of mountains and lakes where a short drive leads to our adventurous walks on high cooler alpine hills covered in lovely woodland of rhododendron and pine trees.
Journey leads through several Gurung nice villages where you can capture the great culture and traditional life of the hill people of Annapurna area , as walk leads into a deep gorge of Modi River and then opens up into a nice wide valley at Annapurna Sanctuary to reach Annapurna base camp.
Annapurna Base Camp and the sanctuary falls in the heart of massive Annapurna range of mountains, where our adventure leads to inner and beyond sanctuary to reach our goal at Tent Peak and Tharpu Chuli base camp. We have reserved and added extra days for acclimatization and practice climb before the actual adventure to reach the summit of Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli, after a hard tough climb of exciting moment reaching the top and then with safe return.

Trek Itinerary Detail:Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.
On reaching Kathmandu international airport received by White Lotus staff/guide for short transfer in the heart of Kathmandu at Thamel area an interesting place after checking into your hotel room, meet at hotel lobby for group briefing regarding Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli Peak Climb and trekking with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal enjoyable. The evening includes welcome dinner in authentic Nepalese restaurants with culture programs of the country.Day 02: In Kathmandu options for tour and trek - climb preparation.
Free day in Kathmandu for leisure activities where you can join in our sightseeing tour around the city places of Interest as Kathmandu valley steeped with world heritage sites, rest of the day preparing for Tent Peak Climb and Treks.Day 03: Drive or Fly to Pokhara 860 m (30 mins by air) with 6 hrs overland.
Morning overland journey to Pokhara of about 5- 6 hrs drive to reach Nepal Mid-West where ride leads past interesting farm villages and towns with views of snow-capped mountains till you reach Pokhara. On arrival transfer to your hotel by the lakeside of Phewa, with time for a short walk around the lakeside with views of Annapurna peaks. Dinner either in respective hotels or outside restaurants near the lakeside (Flight options 30 minutes to reach Pokhara by air from Kathmandu)Day 04: Drive to Nayapul start walk to Ghandruk 1,940 m- 05 hrs.
Morning breakfast and then drive to reach the starting point of the trek beyond Pokhara valley where the walk begins after few hours of scenic drives as walk leads past villages of Bhirethati, and then climb to reach at Ghandruk a large Gurung village for an overnight stop in local lodge.Day 05: Trek to Chomrong 1,951m - 06 hrs
From Ghandruk catching morning views of Annapurna peaks, where walks leads to a short steep climb to Kimrong ridge and then descend entering at Kimrong river valley, after crossing a bridge with uphill to a ridge reaching gradual winding path paved with fine stonework to reach above Chomrong village and then a short descend to reach a nice and large village of Chomrong for overnight stop. One of the largest Gurung villages around Annapurna region and as well the last permanent human settlement on route to Annapurna Base Camp and Sanctuary where other areas beyond are just temporary settlement for trekkers.Day 06: Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hrs.
After a nice overnight stop in Chomrong morning starts on the downhill to cross a bridge over Chomrong river with uphill to Sinuwa located on a high ridge with a couple of Tea-House and shops facing grand views of dramatic landscapes of surrounding hills and valley with snow-capped peaks of Annapurna Himalaya range. From here walk leads into deeply forested areas on winding ups and then descend into dense woodland with bamboo grooves to a place called also as Bamboo. Bamboo a small settlement to cater needs of the trekkers with many good lodges located in a river gorge surrounded by a forest of rhododendron-pines and bamboo. From a Bamboo walk on the gradual path into dense woods with easy ups to reach Dovan located within a gorge of Modi River with few lodges for travelers.Day 07: Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,720 m -06 hrs.
Adventure leads closer to our highlight as walk leads on winding ups into the forest past Himalaya Hotel, located next to large overhanging cave Hinko which is directly beneath Annapurna South and Huin-Chuli peaks. From Himalaya Hotel downhill near Modi River then with short climb to reach at Deurali for overnight stop, Deuarli onwards where tall tree lines stops for short alpine bushes, after Deuarli walk continues uphill following raging Modi river right up to Machhapuchare base camp for overnight stop, located at the bottom of majestic North Face of Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’.Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m - 04 hrs.
After a refreshing overnight stop at MBC (Machhapuchare base camp) an easy and short morning walk to reach our main highlight at Annapurna base camp, from Machhapuchare where Annapurna Sanctuary starts right up to base camp, walk leads to short ups to reach a level ground on a huge field or a plateau within Sanctuary enclosed by array of peak and soon walk leads to a welcome sign-post of Annapurna Base Camp. Reaching our final destination and the highest spot at above 4,095 m high situated beneath towering Mt. Annapurna and range of other peaks of Vara-Shikar, Gangapurna with Annapurna South. Annapurna Base Camp, one and only base camp in whole Himalaya region with the facility of the nice and cozy lodge, where rooms face views of Annapurna peaks.Day 09: Trek to Tent peak Base Camp 4,450 m / 14,600 ft - 05 hrs.
After a great enjoyable time at Annapurna Base Camp morning walk leads away from main trekking trails, where route diverts to cross over the snow-covered moraine and rocky faint path, heading towards an icy area for an hour to reach Annapurna south glacier. The walk offers views of high peaks, then after few hours of steady walk and climb reaching a flat area to set our base camp, the first night in a tented camp for the great climb to Tharpu Chuli and Tent Peak, afternoon at leisure preparation for the climb and acclimatization.Day 10: At Tent peak base camp rest and practice climb
An extra day to plan the climb on this challenging peak, where one can take a rest as well preparing and sorting gear for next high camp as well for the climb, rest of the day relax and enjoy the surrounding views.Day 11: Climb and set high / advance camp 5, 180 m for the climb.
To make the climb a great success adding one more camp makes much accessible for the climb to the summit of Tharpu Chuli / Tent Peak, on leaving base camp heading further with a steep climb over rocks and icy glaciers continue to climb to reach a possible spot to set high camp at above 5,200 m. Afternoon free busy with preparation for the summit bid while our guide will check the route for a safe climb.Day 12: Climb Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak and return to base camp - 08 hrs.
Start early morning where steep climb lead on snow slope facing some technical sections to reach on top of the summit; our expert guide will fix ropes where necessary for safe climb to reach on the summit, finally reaching atop after great strenuous effort, finally stepping on top of Tharpu Chuli / Tent Peak where you feel on top of the world overlooking wide panorama of mountains that encircles you and then enjoying great moment, descend safely back to base camp.Day 13: Spare and contingency day in case of bad weather.
Reserved an extra day in case of a technical problem or with unfavorable bad weather condition where this day can be used relaxing after a tough climb with an easy walk back to the road-head heading for Pokhara.Day 14: Trek to Machhapuchare base camp via Annapurna base camp-06 hrs.
Morning after breakfast from the base camp, after cleaning the base camp and then pack for return back to Machhapuchare base via Annapurna Base Camp walking on icy path for some hours till climb reaches a flat ground reaching Annapurna base camp and then easy walk to Machhapuchare base camp in the comfort of nice cozy lodge.Day 15: Trek to Bamboo 2,050m - 06 hrs.
Enjoying lovely moments with awesome scenery with climb of Tent peak and at Annapurna base camp, a long walk today on downhill with few short ups to reach at Bamboo place for overnight stop, and back into tall tree lines and lush vegetation, after being on arctic zone climate at Annapurna base camp and sanctuary.Day 16: Trek to Jhinu Danda with hot spring 1,700 m - 06 hrs.
Return journey back to Chomrong with ups and downhill trail, from Chomrong hilltop our route diverts to another fresh new trail to reach at nice hill village at Jhinu located on a ridge with grand scenery of rolling hills and mountains. Jhinu provides refreshing natural hot-spring for interested people which is a mere distance downhill of half-hour to the hot spring with two nice warm pools close to raging Modi-River.Day 17: Short walk and drive to Pokhara 860 m- 04 hrs.
Our last day of the adventure complete after short walks past farm villages following Modi River downstream to reach a road-head and then taking an exciting drive back to Pokhara near the shore of Phewa Lake for overnight in the comfort of nice hotels.Day 18: Drive / Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
The morning after breakfast drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway past farm villages and town with last few hours climbs to reach the valley rim that takes you into the city of Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. (Flight options 30 minutes to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara by air)Day 19: International Departure homeward bound or respective countries.
