Yala Peak Climb grade is only F means a Facial Easy mountain to climb of less technical challenge and effort, the classification we have used comes from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Systems which is the perfect grading standard. Yala Peak rises above 5,500 m / 1, 8044 ft within series of Langtang Himal range of mountains, where all types of mountaineers can join in this adventure rewards with excellent views of surrounding close peaks of Langtang and beyond to Tibetan mountains just across the border beyond Langtang Himal.

Yala Peak climb starts with an interesting drive from Kathmandu to reach the starting point of the walk heading through nice farm villages and into river gorge covered with dense forest to reach an open area at Kyanjin within beautiful Langtang valley. At Kyanjin with time to explore high hills to catch best of the scenery of mountain range and then head towards the end of Langtang valley to reach Yala Peak base camp, camping will be set with time to practice and study the route of the climb.

Next early morning weather permitting enjoy a strenuous and scenic climb to the top of Yala Peak surrounded by mighty giant peaks enjoying a super panorama of beautiful views and then back at Kyanjin and to Syabrubesi where drive brings you at Kathmandu, after a great adventure on Yala Peak and Langtang valley trekking.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu preparation for trek and climb and optional tour.
Day 03: Drive to Pahiro by bus 1,540 m - 07 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Thangsyap 2,645 m - 06 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Kyanjin 3,830 m /12, 565ft - 05 hrs.
Day 06: At Kyanjin for acclimatization and hike to Kyanjin-Ri 4,773 m or Tsherko-Ri 4,984 m.
Day 07: Trek to Yala peak Base Camp 4,870 m /15,977 ft on camping - 05 hrs.
Day 08: Rest day for preparation and practice climb.
Day 09: Climb Yala Peak 5,500 m / 1, 8044 ft return to base camp -07 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Kyanjin - 05 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,450 m - 06 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Syabrubesi 1,503 m -05 hrs.
Day 13: Walk to road head and drive back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs.

Trek Itinerary Detail:

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.

On reaching Kathmandu international airport received by White Lotus staff/guide for short transfer in the heart of Kathmandu at Thamel area an interesting place after checking into your hotel room, meet at the hotel lobby for group briefing regarding Yala Peak Climb and trekking with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal enjoyable. The evening includes welcome dinner in authentic Nepalese restaurants with culture programs of the country.

Day 02: In Kathmandu options for tour and trek - climb preparation.

Free day in Kathmandu for leisure activities where you can join in our sightseeing tour around the city places of Interest as Kathmandu valley steeped with world heritage sites, rest of the day preparing for Yala Peak Climb and Langtang treks.

Day 03: Drive to Pahiro by bus 1,540 m - 07 hrs.

The morning starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu valley, the journey leads North direction past Nuwakot area with town and villages to reach Dhunche, the headquarter town of Rasuwa locale, where Langtang National park begins, Dhunche at 1,900 m. From here downhill on winding road to reach near Syabrubesi village and then heading to a small village called Pahiro (past early landslides section) for an overnight stop.

Day 04: Trek to Thangsyap 2,645 m - 06 hrs.

First day walk leads uphill for a while with rest of the walk on a gradual and winding trail through terraced ranches and towns, walk dive to join a way of upper walk descend to join a path of upper Syabru near Riverside. From here another hour walks to reach a small forest clearing at Thangsyap for overnight stop located above from river gorge and the main trail of Langtang valley trekking.

Day 05: Trek to Kyanjin 3,830 m /12, 565ft - 05hrs.

Morning walk follows a ridgeline above upper Trisuli or Langtang River leading to a climb into rhododendron and oaks forest after few hours walk reaching in the middle of a forest. After a nice stop continue to walk for few hours through forest and crossing streams and leaving the tree line behind reaching Langtang village, as morning walk continues for a short while, then winds up for few hours coming across "mani-prayer wall", walk leads further east where the canyon opens up into a wide picturesque with views of peaks at close distance. After a pleasant walk of 4 or 5 hours reaching at Kyanjin for overnight stops, a beautiful place with the panorama of mountains and close views of Langtang Lirung at above 7,000m with icefall.

Day 06: At Kyanjin for acclimatization and hike to Kyanjin-Ri 4,773 m or Tsherko-Ri 4,984 m.

At Kyanjin with an extra day to support acclimatization for a day hike to scenic hilltop adding more heights which helps you to acclimatize better as well reward you with a magnificent panorama of surrounding high peaks of Langtang Himal and adjoining mountains.

Day 07: Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp 4,870 m/15,977 ft on camping -05 hrs.

Morning walk leads further east from Kyanjing Gompa towards the main highlight of the adventure, walks leads on grassy meadow then around reaching rocky and ice sheet zone with soak move to achieve a level region for medium-term camp only underneath From the camp appreciate perspectives on Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Yala peak and adjoining mountains.

Day 08: Rest day for preparation and practice climb.

Another leisure day for practice climb and as well preparation for the big climb next early morning with enough time to pack gear and enjoy the surrounding glorious scenery of high peaks.

Day 09: Climb Yala Peak 5,500 m /18,044ft and back to Base camp - 07 hrs.

Start early at the break of dawn follow our expert guide where climbs lead on snow slopes encountering ice and rocky sections as ascent progress with a steady climb of less technical effort but leading with a vigorous climb to reach on top of the summit of Yala Peak. From the top enjoy the spectacular panorama of whole Langtang Himal with Shishapangma (Tibet side), Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and scope of heaps of the two sides of the nation, getting a charge out of marvelous moment descend safely back to base camp.

Day 10: Trek to Kyanjin - 05 hrs.

Enjoying the adventure of a lifetime experience camping, morning clear the base camp taking litters and garbage with you and hand at proper disposal sites on route back, the morning after packing then head on a scenic trail to reach Kyanjing Gompa for overnight in the comfort of a cozy lodge after a great time and climb on top Yala Peak.

Day 11: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,450 m - 06 hrs.

Walk gets much easier as altitude drops every step on the downhill to enter back into green lush vegetation and tree lines the following river downstream to reach at Lama Hotel for the overnight stop.

Day 12: Trek to Syaprubesi 1,503 m-05 hrs.

Our last day of trek and adventure on Yala Peak climb, enjoy walk on pleasant downhill within serene woodland and with much descend to reach back on the road-head at Syabrubesi village for a final overnight stop around Langtang Himal.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu 1,300 m -05/6hrs.

The morning after breakfast board in a bus or similar vehicle as per group size then drive towards Dhunche on winding ups and following a downhill route to reach warmer areas of Nuwakot and then descend on a good road to reach back to your hotel in Kathmandu, after a mesmerizing time and adventure on Yala Peak Climbing.

Day 14: International Departure homeward bound or respective countries.

As per your international flight time for homeward bound or to next respective destinations, depart from the hotel where White Lotus staff transfer you to Kathmandu International airport with final farewell after a great adventure and experience on Yala Peak and Langtang Valley Trekking.
