The walk continues visiting nice hill villages adorned with the varied culture of both Hindu and Buddhism religions and then heading higher into cooler areas covered with a lovely forest of pines and rhododendron trees to reach high and scenic Manang valley. On reaching beautiful Manang valley where tree lines drop for smaller juniper bushes where villages interwoven with strong Buddhism religion visit its impressive old monastery of Braga includes pleasant rest day at Manang village to explore its timeless culture with grand views of Annapurna and Chulus peaks.
Finally, walk heads beyond Manang valley with a climb to the highest point of the adventure on Thorang-la pass at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft high facing tremendous views of a mountain range with Dhaulagiri peaks. A long descent takes you at Kaligandaki valley after walking past the holy spot of Muktinath to reach Jomsom (headquarter town of Mustang district) home of Thakali people.
Where journey leads back into tree lines reaching warmer areas at Tatopani a village with natural hot spring to enjoy time in its refreshing warm pools before climbing uphill into lovely rhododendron forest to reach Ghorepani where short hike takes you at famous Poon Hill for a stunning sunrise over an array of peaks. Free day in Kathmandu for leisure activities where you can join in our sightseeing tour around the city places of Interest as Kathmandu valley steeped with world heritage sites, rest of the day preparing for Annapurna Circuit trekking.Day 03: Drive to Syange 1,240 m via Besisar 800 m - 08 hrs.
Morning a long exciting overland journey on Nepal main highway to reach at Nepal Mid West within low warm farm country at Lamjung district in Besisar town, where drive continues following Marysangdi River to reach Syange for a first overnight halt in a nice simple lodge, facing views of waterfalls.Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 06 hrs.
After a refreshing stop at Syange village starting with a climb for few hours to reach Jagat and then on a gradual winding trail to Chamje, and back to Marysangdi River crossing towards eastern bank and into a forested area, with views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.The walk continues to Tal Besi village, another few hours walk reaching at Dharapani village for an overnight stop, a nice alpine large village with more Buddhism culture.Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hrs.
Morning walk along the winding trail within rhododendron, pine forest to Bagarchap and Danque villages, then climb to Timang village. From here onwards into strong Buddhist area with view of Mt. Manaslu and Annapurna peaks, as walk leads beyond Timang village for few hours to Koto and then at Chame town for an overnight stop, a large major town and headquarter of Manang area.Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.
The adventure continues heading much cooler area and getting closer to mountains region, trek through the alpine forest following Masrsyangdi River upstream with short up for lunch break at Dukuri Pokhari, and then descends to lower Pisang village for an overnight stop.Day 07: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 05 hrs.
Pisang village offers views of Chulus and Pisang peaks as walk leads through woodland with short uphill and views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulus and Pisang peak. Descend to Hongde village, from here tree lines drops for barren landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics and then an hour walk brings at Manang village. The houses here are built up in traditional Tibetan style and Manang people are known for their rich culture and traditions.Day 08: Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation, explore Manang village, located beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range and Manang glacial Lake.Day 09: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 04 hours.
After a good rest at Manang, morning leads past Ghunsang village with slow uphill to Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude trek with views of snowcapped mountains, then crossing a small stream river to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with tremendous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.Day 10: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.
Morning heading higher area, to reach at the base of Thorang-la uphill walk along the river bank, as walk leads to Thorang Phedi, from here an hour of steep climb brings you at Thorang High Camp for an overnight stop.Day 11: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 07 hrs.
One of the highlights the adventure, starting with early breakfast walk follows to the long climb up at Thorang-la with steep haul on winding path to reach at Thorang La Pass at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft. The highest point of the journey where this high spot offers superb views of snowcapped peaks, after feeling in top spirit a long descend takes you at Muktinath located above 3,800 m high. On reaching Muktinath for overnight stop, a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.Day 12: Drive to Tatopani 1,190m via Jomsom 2, 715 m - 04 hrs.
From Muktinath, our walks stop for a day, as motorable road been constructed taking the pleasure of drive down towards lower Mustang areas of Kaligandaki River valley past the nice town of Jomsom and Marpha village. The journey continues downhill to reach overworld deepest of Kaligandaki River sandwiched between mighty peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna and then reaching warm places at Tatopani, a village with natural hot-spring where can enjoy in its hot pools.Day 13: Trek to Ghorepani 2,750 m - 06 hrs.
After Tatopani, morning walk leads across a bridge over Kaligandaki River and then route heads uphill on terraced hillside, dotted with farms and villages, after a steep section through dense alpine forest reaching at Chitre and to Ghorepani- village with superb views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Vara-Shikar also known Annapurna Fang.Day 14: Trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,500m - 05 hours walk.
Morning hour hike to Poon Hill at 3,210m, offers striking sunrise views over chain of mountains include Mt. Machhapuchare “The Fish Tail”, after a glorious moments, descend to Ghorepani and continue to walk within beautiful rhododendron forest on gradual path and then a long descend from Ulleri village to Tirkhedhunga for last overnight stop on the hills of Annapurna Himalaya.Day 15: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.
From here, our last day walk of the adventure leads past many farm villages and finally ending our trek on the road that connects Baglung and Pokhara at Nayapul town, where few hour drives take you at the famous and scenic touristic spot at Pokhara after a wonderful time up in high mountains. On reaching Pokhara transfer to your respective hotels by the lake Phewa with enough time for rest and walks around the lakeside.Day 16: Drive / Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
The morning after breakfast drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway past farm villages and town with last few hours climbs to reach the valley rim that takes you into the city of Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. (Flight options 30 minutes to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara by air)Day 17: International Departure homeward bound or respective countries.
