The journey leads past nice villages of Jagat-Dharapani and Chame town and towards the windswept scenic valley of Manang hidden behind towering peaks of Chulus and Annapurna, at Manang with pleasant rest days for acclimatization and then heading towards our destination at Tilicho Lake.
Tilicho Lake walks leads away from main Annapurna trails towards remote areas of Manang where you will enjoy amazing views and times then back on the main trail of Annapurna circuit to reach high Thorang-la pass that separates Manang and Mustang district. Crossing scenic Thorang-la pass with a long downhill to Mustang areas at a holy spot of Muktinath temple a famous pilgrimage place where our walk ends heading to Jomsom town for a scenic / short flight to beautiful touristic Pokhara blessed with natural beauty with lakes and high peaks Annapurna.

Free day in Kathmandu for leisure activities where you can join in our sightseeing tour around the city places of Interest as Kathmandu valley steeped with world heritage sites, rest of the day preparing for Annapurna Tilicho Lake trekking.Day 03: Drive to Syange 1,240 m via Besisar 800 m - 08 hrs.
Morning a long exciting overland journey on Nepal main highway to reach at Nepal Mid West within low warm farm country at Lamjung district in Besisar town, where drive continues following Marysangdi River to reach Syange for a first overnight halt in a nice simple lodge, facing views of waterfalls.Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 06 hrs.
After a refreshing stop at Syange village starting with a climb for few hours to reach Jagat and then on a gradual winding trail to Chamje, and back to Marysangdi River crossing towards the eastern bank and into a forested area, with views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. The walk continues to Tal Besi village, another few hours walk reaching at Dharapani village for an overnight stop, a nice alpine large village with more Buddhism culture.Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hrs.
Morning walk along the winding trail within rhododendron, pine forest to Bagarchap and Danque villages, then climb to Timang village. From here onwards into strong Buddhist area with view of Mt. Manaslu and Annapurna peaks, as walk leads beyond Timang village for few hours to Koto and then at Chame town for an overnight stop, a large major town and headquarter of Manang area.Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.
The adventure continues heading much cooler area and getting closer to mountains region, trek through the alpine forest following Masrsyangdi River upstream with short up for lunch break at Dukuri Pokhari, and then descends to lower Pisang village for an overnight stop.Day 07: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 05 hrs.
Pisang village offers views of Chulus and Pisang peaks as walk leads through woodland with short uphill and views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulus and Pisang peak. Descend to Hongde village, from here tree lines drops for barren landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics and then an hour walk brings at Manang village. The houses here are built up in traditional Tibetan style and Manang people are known for their rich culture and traditions.Day 08: Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation, explore Manang village, located beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range and Manang glacial Lake.Day 09: Trek to Khangsar 3,734 m - 05 hrs.
From Manang our route leads off and away and beyond Manang Valley to reach Tilicho Lake, on leaving the main Annapurna Circuit trail heading into the complete wilderness and getting closer to high Himalayan peaks. The walk leads through Manang village where our path diverts heading due south to reach first at Khangsar village for an overnight stop, a remote and last settlement of Manang on route to Tilicho Lake and towards Mesokanto-La pass.Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp 4,150 m - 04 hrs.
After Khangsar, morning leads to a climb facing tremendous views of Gangapurna and Tilicho Peaks, as walk leads into the sheer wilderness of arid and barren landscapes, with few bushes of juniper and Burberry prickly plants. The walk leads into a narrow trail with short climb and ups to reach at Tilicho Base Camp for an overnight stop with views of snow-clad peaks at close distance.Day 11: Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,920 m and walk back at base camp.
Morning walk takes you to our main highlight of the adventure heading steep climb for short-while and then descend to the shore of beautiful turquoise colored Tilicho Lake, a magnificent spot surrounded by high peaks of Tilicho and Gangapurna Himal. Enjoy a hike around the lake, regarded as a sacred spot by both religions Hindu and Buddhist, truly a most mind-blowing experience to visit this lovely emerald lake of Tilicho, with the scenic moment at Tilicho Lake, afternoon heading back with a climb back at base camp.Day 12: Trek to Sri-Kharka 4,140 - 05 hrs.
After a wonderful walk to beautiful areas of Tilicho lake head north direction with a steep climb and downhill to reach at the overnight stop in a small area of Sri-Kharka with few good simple lodges to stay facing grand views of peaks.Day 13: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 05 hrs.
On completing our visit another side of Manang valley around Tilicho Lake, morning walk leads to Khangsar village on the uphill path than on level ground to reach a nice place in Yak Kharka for an overnight stop.Day 14: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.
Morning walk leads closer to Thorang-la as the walk progress crossing a bridge and then a climb along the Jarjung River, then leading at Thorung Phedi for short rest and then climb the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for an overnight stop.Day 15: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 07 hrs.
Starting early morning to reach the highest point of the great adventure, after breakfast climb up to Thorang-la at above 5,416 m marked with Buddhist prayer flags, offers superb vista landscapes and snowcapped peaks, from here a long descend to Muktinath at 3,800 m.
Muktinath a holy place for both Hindu and Buddhist the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.Day 16: Drive to Jomsom 2,715 m - 02 hrs.
From Muktinath village, after ending our walks drive towards Kaligandaki river valley to reach at Jomsom, headquarter town of Mustang region with a small airstrip, at Jomsom for an overnight stop.Day 17: Fly or drive to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
Morning from Jomsom hotel transfer to its small airport where pleasant flight with exciting views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range reach you at Pokhara by its serene Phewa Lake for an overnight stop. (Option for the overland drive to Pokhara from Jomsom takes more than 6 hours past Tatopani village and Beni town)Day 18: Drive / Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
The morning after breakfast drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway past farm villages and town with last few hours climbs to reach the valley rim that takes you into the city of Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. (Flight options 30 minutes to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara by air)Day 19: International Departure homeward bound or respective countries.
