Everest Three High Passes Adventure a trek that leads you to traverse from one scenic place to another beautiful area with the visit of Everest base camp and climb of high Kalapathar at above 5,545 m the highest point of the adventure facing closest views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Pumori. Starting this fabulous walks Everest Three Passes Adventure taking a short scenic flight to Lukla from the capital Kathmandu, where walk leads you high areas after walking past scenic Dudh-Kosi River valley covered within the green forest of rhododendron and pines.

As walk proceeds visiting nice lovely villages and observing local Sherpa immense culture of Buddhism religion, an interesting uphill climb to famous Namche Bazaar the hub of Khumbu Sherpa as well for trekkers, having a rest day for acclimatization and carry on to scenic Thyangboche and its interesting monastery.

With time around Thyangboche visiting its monastery surrounded by green woodland and mountains with views of mighty Everest and magnificent Amadablam peaks. From here onwards into the arid and barren windswept country to reach and cross the first highest pass over Kongma-la and then visit Everest Base Camp with a climb of high Kalapathar with a stunning panorama of mountains that surrounds you.

After an exciting journey the second phase of the adventure takes you over Cho-la pass to reach beautiful and scenic Gokyo valley with its simmering glacial lakes enclosed with high mountains. Enjoying time at scenic Gokyo then climb towards our last and final pass over Renjo-la with grand views of Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu and Mt. Makalu slowly walk towards the quiet and serene valley at Thame village, a place with more than 500 years history an interesting place to visit.

On completing all three highest passes then heading back into tree lines and green vegetation past Namche Bazaar to reach at Lukla for short panoramic flight back to Kathmandu, to end our most memorable Himalayan journey Everest Three High Passes Adventure trekking.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,320 and transfer to hotel.

On arrival at Nepal international airport in Kathmandu received by White Lotus staff then drive to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city, with time to get refreshed in your hotel rooms. Then join in for group meeting and briefing regarding Everest Three High Passes Adventure treks with early departure next morning to Lukla.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m and walk to Phakding 2,645 m - 04 hrs.

Morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic for a scenic flight to land at Lukla town, where the walk takes you around Sherpa villages along with views of high peaks to reach at Phakding village for an overnight stop.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.

The walk begins on the gradual winding path following Dudh Kosi River and crossing over bridges to enter Sagarmatha National Park (Sagarmatha a name for Everest in Nepali, where Sherpa of Tibetan origin calls Chomolungma,), from here into river valley within forest area. Climb starts from the last high bridge on winding and scenic trail to reach Namche Bazaar offers great nice lodge with many shops and stores including banks and ATM facilities along with views of peaks.

Day 04: In Namche for rest and acclimatization with a short hike.

Enjoy rest or free day to help and support acclimatization on this high altitude above 3,440 m high, where one can take a short hike to viewpoints and museum of great interest, facing marvelous views of Everest, Amadablam, Kwangde, with Thermasarkhu and range of peaks.

Day 05: Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.

Walk higher up on scenic winding trail facing views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse with magnificent Amadablam, as walk leads down for lunch stop near Imjtase River. Afternoon few hours climb into the cool shade of rhododendron, pines, magnolia, blue pines, juniper and silver fir forest to reach the scenic and beautiful spot in Thyangboche surrounded by mighty peaks with views of Everest. At Thyangboche for an overnight stop with time to visit its interesting monastery in the shade of Everest and Amadablam mountains.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche 4,365 m - 05 hrs.

Morning enjoys views of Everest and other peaks with magnificent Amadablam and then downhill walk to a river, crossing the bridge with a slow climb towards Pangboche village with close views of Amadablam peak, the walk continues to reach a scenic Imjatse Valley where our overnight stops at Dingboche located with views of Amadablam and Island peaks.

Day 07: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and local hike.

Dingboche a lovely and scenic spot for rest day for acclimatization, take the short hike up to Nakarjung hill, for more excellent views of mountains facing Imjatse and Dingboche below, afternoon at leisure enjoy views of mountains.

Day 08: Trek to Chukung 4,730 m preparation for next day crossing.

After rest at Dingboche morning a short walk of few hours to reach at Chukung a small settlement with small numbers of lodges, located at the end of scenic Imjatse Valley, as walk leads towards east-facing views of Amadablam-Lobuche and towering Island Peak. Morning walk with few short down and ups climb reaching at Chukung for lunch and overnight stop, where afternoon you can relax facing mountain views with preparation for next early tough treks over Kongma-la to reach Lobuche.

Day 09: Cross high Kongma-la 5,535m and to Lobuche 4,890 m - 08 hrs.

Starting early morning before dawn heading inner above Imjatse valley route beneath Lhotse and Nuptse mountains, slowly walk on faint path entering into a narrow area between Nuptse and Pokalde peaks. After some rest then climb towards high Kongma-La at above 5,535 m and 18,159 ft the highest Pass of the adventure, hidden in-between Nuptse and Mehara peaks, the pass stepped with rock cairns and Buddhist prayer flags to mark the top. From the pass descend towards Khumbu glacier, walking with care on icy path and moraine following our lead guides, then climb over the rubble of rocks and boulders with downhill to overnight at Lobuche after a tough walk of the day.

Day 10: To Everest Base Camp 5,365 m back at Gorakshep 5,180 m - 06 hrs

From Lobuche to our highlight reaching Everest base camp, morning walk leads with slow climb above Khumbu glacier and moraine to reach a flat field at Gorakshep a place with few nice lodges. From Gorakshep continue to head east to reach at Everest base camp, on reaching our destination enjoy views of giant peaks with Khumbu Ice-Fall and glaciers, and then walk back to Gorakshep for an overnight stop.

Day 11: Climb to Kalapathar 5,545 m and walk to Dzongla 4, 830 m - 06 hrs.

Early morning hike of few hours to reach on top Kalapathar at 5,545 m, highest spot of the adventure offers views of a mountain range with Everest and Pumori at close distance. From here descend to Gorakshep and walk downhill to Lobuche, walking past the main trail to Thugla to reach the isolated valley and a small settlement of Dzongla located beneath Cho-la Pass on route Gokyo valley for an overnight stop.

Day 12: Cross Cho-La pass 5,367 m and descend to Thaknag 4,700 m - 08 hrs.

Morning where our tough adventure takes you on top of the second high pass of the journey, climbing on steep slopes over rocky moraine with some ice-sections (sometimes), the finally reach on top Cho-la, often spelled as Tsho facing grand views of Cholatse-Lobuche East and West peaks with Nirekha peaks. After a wonderful moment and rest, then descend towards Thaknag around Gokyo Valley area, where walk leads over rocks and moraine to reach a lonely and isolated place at Thaknag for an overnight stop before Gokyo Lake.

Day 13: Walk to Gokyo main 3rd Lake 4,800 m - 04 hrs.

Morning walk much easier compared to other past days, where our route leads beneath Ngozumba glacier reaching first and then second lakes to reach beautiful areas of Gokyo, where lodges situated above its third big glacial lake. At Gokyo with a free afternoon with views of world 6th highest Mt. Cho-Oyu that straddles the border of Nepal and Tibet-China. For energetic people can hike up to Gokyo-Ri for a panorama of peaks with Everest and Makalu.

Day 14: Cross Renjo-la 5,360 m and descend to Lungden 4,380 m - 07 hrs.

Our last and final great high pass to complete on this day, where early morning walk leads south of Gokyo lake, and then climb over rocks and scree path to reach at high Renjo-la offering a super panorama of mountains with Everest, Lhotse, Cho- Oyu and Makalu towards east include array mountain range. With a refreshing break on top, then walk downhill past Renjo icy ponds to reach Lungden located close to high Nangpa-la pass that leads to Tibet, at Lungden enjoy rest of the afternoon with views of Kongde peaks.

Day 15: Trek to Thame village 3,880 via Marlung - 06 hrs.

From Lungden feeling great after crossing all three high passes which makes rest of the journey much easier with a downhill walk to Bhote-Kosi River near a small farm village of Marlung and then on a pleasant trail to reach a nice quiet village in Thame. At Thame enjoy the day visiting its oldest monastery of Khumbu area, an interesting place enriched with ancient artifacts, idols and holy Buddhist books with super views of peaks around.

Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazaar via Thamo - 05 hrs.

After a nice overnight stop in Thame, morning an easier walk down and then up following a nice gentle path towards Thamo village, and then back into trees and green vegetation as walk reaches you at famous Namche Bazaar for an overnight stop in its nice lodge.

Day 17: Trek to Lukla - 06 hrs.

A long and last day but with downhill to reach back at Dudh Kosi River valley and gorge and past Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo to reach Phakding village. From here continue to walk for a few hours on a good trail with last final climb of less than an hour to reach Lukla for last overnight stop within Khumbu and Everest region.

Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel end of the service.

Morning as per the time for the flight to Kathmandu transfer to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla, where a sweeping smooth scenic flight of 30 minutes brings you back to city life in Kathmandu and get transferred to your hotel.

Day 19: In Kathmandu spare and contingency days for individual activities.

Reserved this spare day as a contingency in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla or vice-versa, if all goes well according to our standard itinerary days enjoy a free day for individual activities.

Day 20: International departure homeward bound.

As per your international flight time for homeward bound or to next respective destinations, depart from the hotel where White Lotus staff transfer you to Kathmandu International airport with final farewell after a great adventure and experience on Everest Three High Passes Adventure Treks.
