Everest Base Camp trekking with White Lotus Adventure Treks allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery with walks right in the heart of towering Mt. Everest base camp located at 5,364 m high, where Everest rises at above 8,848 m stands as the world tallest peaks. Everest Base Camp trekking a great combination of scenic walks with impressive villages of local Sherpa exploring immense culture and custom with the similar traditional life of Tibetans with Buddhism religion.

Starts with a spectacular short flight from the capital Kathmandu to reach Nepal North Mid-East Himalaya around high Khumbu and Everest region at Lukla, an interesting town where most of the adventure around Everest begins and ends. Walk commence towards scenic Dudh Kosi River gorge and valley as route leads past nice villages adorned with Buddhism symbols and monuments to reach at Sagarmatha National Park listed in world heritage sites since 1979 enriched with exotic flora and fauna and high mountains.

Slowly heading with a climb into the cool shade of coniferous forest laden with rhododendron and pine with silver fir trees to reach famous and colorful Namche Bazaar. At Namche Bazaar providing with a rest day to get well acclimatize and to explore around interesting bazaar of Namche along with grand views of Everest and Amadablam includes a series of peaks. The adventure continues towards a scenic spot at Thyangboche surrounded by green woodland and mountains with time here to visit its monastery then towards the higher side of upper Khumbu on leaving the green vegetation and tree lines behind.

Finally walk leads to reach our much-awaited destination at Everest base camp enclosed within world giant mountains and close to massive Khumbu Ice-Falls and glaciers after overnight stops around scenic places on the route. Enjoying spectacular time at Everest base camp where next adventure takes you high on top Kalapathar at above 5,545 m the highest point of the trek facing outstanding views of peaks with Everest and Pumori at its close direction.

After great overwhelming moments around the higher side of Khumbu walk leads to long descend to reach Namche Bazaar and at Lukla for short panoramic fight back to Kathmandu with awesome experience and adventure on Everest Base Camp Trekking.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,320 and transfer to hotel.

On arrival at Nepal international airport in Kathmandu received by White Lotus staff then drive to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city, with time to get refreshed in your hotel rooms. Then join in for group meeting and briefing regarding Everest Base Camp trekking with early departure next morning to Lukla.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m and walk to Phakding 2,645 m - 04 hrs.

Morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic for a scenic flight to land at Lukla town, where the walk takes you around Sherpa villages along with views of high peaks to reach at Phakding village for an overnight stop.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.

Walk begins on a gradual winding path following Dudh Kosi River and crossing over bridges to enter Sagarmatha National Park (Sagarmatha a name for Everest in Nepali where Sherpa of Tibetan origin calls Chomolungma), from here into river valley within forest area. The climb starts from the last high bridge on winding and scenic trail to reach Namche Bazaar offers great nice lodge with many shops and stores including banks and ATM facilities along with views of peaks.

Day 04: In Namche for rest and acclimatization with short hike.

Enjoy rest or free day to help and support acclimatization on this high altitude above 3,440 m high, where one can take a short hike to viewpoints and museum of great interest, facing marvelous views of Everest, Amadablam, Kwangde, with Thermasarkhu and range of peaks.

Day 05: Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.

Walk higher up on scenic winding trail facing views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse with magnificent Amadablam, as walk leads down for lunch stop near Imjtase River. Afternoon few hours climb into the cool shade of rhododendron, pines, magnolia, blue pines, juniper and silver fir forest to reach a scenic and beautiful spot in Thyangboche surrounded by mighty peaks with views of Everest. At Thyangboche for an overnight stop with time to visit its interesting monastery in the shade of Everest and Amadablam mountains.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche 4,365 m - 05 hrs.

Morning enjoy views of Everest and other peaks with magnificent Amadablam and then downhill walk to a river, crossing a bridge with a slow climb towards Pangboche village with close views of Amadablam peak, walk continues to reach a scenic Imjatse Valley where our overnight stops at Dingboche located with views of Amadablam and Island peaks.

Day 07: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and local hike.

Dingboche a lovely and scenic spot for rest day for acclimatization, take a short hike up to Nakarjung hill, for more excellent views of mountains facing Imjatse and Dingboche below, afternoon at leisure enjoy views of mountains.

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche 4,890 m - 05 hrs.

From Dingboche climb above Dingboche and beyond Imjatse valley with scenic views, and then on gentle up as altitude catches slowly to reach Thugla for lunch stop. Afternoon leads to climb above a ridge of Thugla-La and then walk of an hour to reach at Lobuche for overnight with views of Nuptse and Lobuche peaks.

Day 09: To Everest Base Camp 5,365 m back at Gorakshep 5,180 m - 06 hrs

From Lobuche to our highlight reaching Everest base camp, morning walk leads with slow climb above Khumbu glacier and moraine to reach a flat field at Gorakshep a place with few nice lodges. From Gorakshep continue to head east to reach at Everest base camp, on reaching our destination enjoy views of giant peaks with Khumbu Ice-Fall and glaciers, and then walk back to Gorakshep for an overnight stop.

Day 10: Climb Kalapathar at 5,545 m walk to Pangboche 3,900 m - 06 hrs.

Early morning where a hike of few hours takes you on top Kalapathar at 5,545 m, the highest spot of the adventure offers views of a mountain range with Everest and Pumori at close distance. From here descend to Gorakshep and walk downhill to Lobuche, walking past Thugla with more descend to reach Pheriche valley and its nice settlement as the walk continues on an easy downhill to Pangboche for an overnight stop.

Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar - 06 hrs.

With glorious time high above Khumbu valley morning starts to a long day walk past Thyangboche Monastery with downs and few strenuous up then on winding scenic trail to Namche for an overnight stop.

Day 12: Trek to Lukla - 06 hrs.

Another long day but with more downhill to reach back at Dudh Kosi River valley and gorge and past Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo to reach Phakding village. From here continue to walk for a few hours on a good trail with last final climb of less than an hour to reach Lukla for last overnight stop within Khumbu and Everest region. Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel end of the service.

Morning as per the time for a flight to Kathmandu transfer to Tenzing and Hillary The airport in Lukla, where a sweeping smooth scenic flight of 30 minutes brings you back to city life in Kathmandu and get transferred to your hotel.

Day 14: In Kathmandu spare and contingency days for individual activities.

Reserved this spare day as a contingency in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla or vice-versa, if all goes well according to our standard itinerary days enjoy a free day for individual activities.

Day 15: International departure homeward bound.

As per your international flight time for homeward bound or to next respective destinations, depart from the hotel where White Lotus staff transfer you to Kathmandu International airport with final farewell after a great adventure and experience on Everest Base Camp Trekking.
