Ganesh Himal Trekking short and scenic adventure of little more than week duration offers you perfect tranquil environment with a fantastic panorama of a mountain range.

Ganesh Himal trekking commence with a drive from Kathmandu heading towards Langtang Himal area of Rasuwa district in the land of Tamang people the hill tribe of high Himalaya with colorful Buddhism religion and culture. The walk takes you around interesting farm villages of Tamang people and then into a sheer wilderness where camping on nice grassy meadow within forest surrounding covered with tall rhododendron and pine tree lines.

As walk leads to cross high and scenic Pangsang Bhanjyang-la to reach back into nice cultivated farm areas as walk leads to the low warmer elevation at Trisuli Bazaar to end the trek and then completing this amazing adventure Ganesh Himal Trekking on reaching back at Kathmandu.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu options for a sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,462 m - 07 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Gatlang 2,238 m - 05 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Somdang 3,270m - 06 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Pansing Bhanjyang Phedi 3,820 m -06 hrs.
Day 07: Rest day to explore beautiful surroundings.

Trek Itinerary Detail:

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.

On reaching Kathmandu international airport received by White Lotus staff/guide for short transfer in the heart of Kathmandu at Thamel area an interesting place after checking into your hotel room, meet at the hotel lobby for group briefing on Ganesh Himal Trekking with other information to make your stay in Nepal enjoyable.

The evening includes welcome dinner in authentic Nepalese restaurants with culture program of the country.

Day 02: In Kathmandu options for a sightseeing tour and trek preparation.

Free day in Kathmandu for leisure activities where you can join in our sightseeing tour around the city places of Interest as Kathmandu valley steeped with world heritage sites, rest of the day preparing for Ganesh Himal trekking.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi by bus 1,462 m - 07 hrs.

Morning starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu valley, the journey leads North direction past Nuwakot area with town and villages to reach Dhunche, the headquarter town of Rasuwa district, where Langtang National park starts, Dhunche at 1,900 m. From here downhill on winding road to reach at Syabrubesi village for an overnight stop.

Day 04: Trek to Gatlang 2,238 m / 7,340 ft - 05 hrs.

After Syabrubesi village morning first-day walk leads to a nice village at Gatlang past Goljung, as route heads into many farm villages within Tamang cultural area with views of Ganesh Himal with Langtang Lirung peaks. Trek leads past farm villages and then with a slow climb to reach large Tamang villages at Gatlang for overnight stop located on a nice valley surround by hills and high mountains with nice tended terraced farms and stone houses of traditional architecture of Tibetan style.

Day 05: Trek to Somdang 3,270m - 06 hrs.

From Gatlang after an interesting and nice visit, starting the morning trek with an uphill into an charming backwoods of rhododendron, pines and oaks trees, at that point on the crisscross way to cross at Khumpu Danda 3,739m with superb views of Annapurna Himal range towards western direction including Langtang Himal in the North East, after an enjoyable break walk continues passing Mailung Khola, and with a climb to a ridge top at Tiru Danda and then heading to Pansing Bhanjyang a small pass.

At that point this peaceful and concealed trail drives downhill into cool high timberland coming to at the recently manufactured street, walk pursues the street for 60 minutes, this new engine street leads all the way to an army post at Samatha village, however, walk continues taking a steep uphill to reach first campsite in Somdang village.

Day 06: Trek to Pansang Bhanjyang Phedi 3,822m -06 hrs.

After overnight at Somdang village last permanent settlement for few days from here onwards on complete wilderness towards high Himalayan peaks, morning walk starts with a climb above the village with nice of views of terraces, then walking through manganese quarry mine, the trekking continues and then the vegetation and tree lines disappears for few days.

Adventure leads to climb and then on long descend reaching back at tree lines furthermore, captivating thick backwoods of rhododendron, pines and oak trees then gradually approaching a hill at Tiru danda, following the stream and passing several cattle herders summer camp below Pansang Bhanjyang for overnight camp on a nice grassy meadow with views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal.

Day 07: Rest day to explore the area.

The highlight of this wonderful adventure, a free day with a short hike around or just relax in the camp and enjoy the tremendous surrounding scenery of high hills, valleys and of the staggering high peaks from world’s highest 8th Mt. Manaslu and worlds 10th highest Mt. Annapurna and the range including Mt. Machhapuchare “Fish Tail” towards West with massive Ganesh Himal and Langtang and Jugal Himal range of mountains towards North East.

Day 08: Trek to Rupchet 4,000 m - 06 hrs.

From scenic camping spot, the walk continues leading towards southern direction and on the trail with ups and downs for few hours through thick forest with super panorama of Ganesh and Langtang Himal and the walking towards the end of this high Tiru danda ridge and to overnight camp at a high spot of Rupchet area.

Day 09: Trek to Saline 2,500m - 05 hrs.

The journey continues through dense rhododendron forest, and then with a long descend to Salankhu Khola, reaching back to villages, walk passes through farm terrains and little towns lastly at Saline town for medium-term camp.

Day 10: Trek to Deurali 1,500m - 05 hrs.

Morning walk leads downhill losing much altitude at every step towards warmer area and farmlands of cultivated crops terraces with corns, millets and potatoes and walk continues passing many scattered farmhouses and hamlets and entering the thick forest to camp at Deurali, a small remote farm settlement.

Day 11: Trek to Trisuli Bazaar and drive back to Kathmandu -05 hrs.

After spending days in the total wilderness around high mountainous areas, walk leads to Trisuli Bazaar for a drive back to Kathmandu. Last day trek of the journey leads due south reaching warmer and sub-tropical area, past many farm villages and cultivated fields and irrigation after few hours of good last walk reaching Trisuli Bazaar, a large town and headquarter of Nuwakott district.

From Trisuli taking an interesting drive of few hours to reach Kathmandu heading on winding downhill towards Kathmandu, on reaching the city transfer to your respective hotels.

Day 12: International Departure homeward bound or respective countries.

As per your international flight time for homeward bound or to next respective destinations, depart from the hotel where White Lotus staff transfer you to Kathmandu International airport with final farewell after a great adventure and experience on ‘Ganesh Himal Trekking’.
