After Langtang Valley our next adventure leads through enchanting woodland and then at the barren country to reach at Gosainkund, a place with large glacial pond considered as sacred by both Hindu and Buddhist, where the colorful festival takes place in the month of August. An auspicious time during the full moon the event known Janai-Purni where Hindu pilgrims visits for a dip in the icy pond to wash away the sin of hundreds of lifetimes, as adventure leads to a climb over the highest point at above 4,610 m/15,124 ft high the pass called Lauribina -la or Gosainkunda-La.
Enjoy the superb panorama of wide landscapes and mountains and downhill towards a green forested area on the road back to Kathmandu walking to the scenic hill at Chisapani for stunning sunrise views over the chain of Himalayan peaks and descend towards Kathmandu valley eastern suburb at Sundarijal for short drive to Kathmandu.

Trek Itinerary Detail:Day 01: Drive to Pahiro by bus 1,540 m - 07 hrs.
The morning starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu valley, the journey leads North direction past Nuwakot area with town and villages to reach Dhunche, the headquarter town of Rasuwa district, where Langtang National park starts, Dhunche at 1,900 m. From here downhill on winding road to reach near Syabrubesi village and then heading to a small village called Pahiro (past early landslides section) for an overnight stop.Day 02: Trek to Thangsyap 2,645 m - 06 hrs.
First-day walk leads uphill for a while with rest of the walk on a gradual and winding trail through terraced farms and villages, walk descend to join a path of upper Syabru near Riverside. From here another hour walks to reach a small forest clearing at Thangsyap for overnight stop located above from river gorge and the main trail of Langtang valley trekking.Day 03: Trek to Kyanjin 3,830 m /12, 565ft - 05hrs.
Morning walk follows a ridgeline above upper Trisuli or Langtang River leading to a climb into rhododendron and oaks forest after few hours walk reaching in the middle of a forest. After a nice stop continue to walk for a few hours through forest and crossing streams and leaving the tree line behind reaching Langtang village, as a morning walk continues for a short while, then winds up for few hours coming across "mani-prayer wall", walk leads further east where the gorge opens up into a wide scenic valley with views of peaks at close distance. After a good walk of more than 4-5 hours reaching Kyanjin, a beautiful place with a panorama of mountains and close views of Langtang Lirung at above 7,000m with icefall, here in a nice lodge with afternoon free for short walk visit the cheese factory established some 25 years ago by Swiss Technical Assistance and local support.Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,450 m - 06 hrs.
Morning enjoy last grand panorama of Langtang massive range of peaks, after a great time at Kyanjin Gompa, return back Day 05: Trek to Thulo Syabru 2,120 m - 05 hrs.
Trek today follows on the same route for a while, then crossing a bridge walk gets pleasant into the rain and bamboo forest, on leaving the river way down below then starts to climb through farm terrace and the fields to reach Thulo or Upper Syabru, a village with a row of houses perched on a ridge with an old monastery few minutes up.Day 06: Trek to Sing-Gompa / Chandanbari 3,250 m - 05 hrs.
From Thulo Syabru on winding steep climb through terraced farm fields and villages, and into the cool shade of lovely coniferous forest filled with tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-pines and fir tree lines, heading past cattle herders shelters within grazing field. The walk continues with the final climb, then on a pleasant trail to reach Chandanbari or Sing Gompa (a place with sandalwood trees), at Chandanbari in a nice lodge, with afternoon free visit its small cheese factory and old monastery situated on top of the village.Day 07: Trek to Gosainkund 4,381m - 05 hrs
After Sing Gompa or Chandanbari village, where morning walk offers grand views of Langtang and Ganesh-Himal with Manaslu and Annapurna range due west, as our route leads higher up for an hour into a rhododendron forest. Walking past green forested areas where walk continues with a climb on leaving trees for dwarf rhododendron, juniper bushes, walk unwinds uphill past few teahouses around small place of Laurabinaya, where short downhill reaches the first lake Saraswati and the Bhairabkund with a short climb to our overnight stop within Gosainkund close to its calm pond. At Gosainkund, where great religious festival held once a year called Janai Purnima (Full Moon) in the month of August, great numbers of Hindu and Buddhists pilgrims throng the lake for a holy bath, as per Hindu popular belief, a huge rock at the center of the pond at one time had Shiva temple.Day 08: Trek to Gopte 3,430m via Lauribinya -la / Gosainkund-la Pass 4,610 m/15,124 ft -06 hrs.
With exciting time at holy Gosainkund, morning walk leads past the main pond to an uphill path between rocks and boulders, as walk leads past smaller ponds where the trail winds up to reach on top Gosainkund pass or Lauribinaya La, the highest spot of the adventure. From the top long downhill to reach at Phedi (bottom) a place with few teahouses, after a refreshing break continues walk heading east towards Helambu region and back into green vegetations and tree lines then reaching our overnight stop in a small place Ghopte (means overhanging rocks).Day 09: Trek to Kutumsang 2,470 m - 05 hrs.
Morning walk leads where the route of Helambu and Kathmandu meets, from here a pleasant walk into the forest with ups and down for an hour with a climb on top Thadepatti Hill overlooking views of the high mountain range. After some rest walk leads downhill and back into farm fields to reach overnight stop in Kutumsang, an interesting farm village with mixed hill tribes of Sherpa, Hyalmo and Tamang people.Day 10: Trek to Chisapani 2,165 m - 06 hrs.
Morning start the walk to reach Chisapani, that leads to Kathmandu as our route leads on winding path with few ups and down heading through farm villages to reach Gul-Bhanjyang. After refreshing stops walk continues on a nice and pleasant trail to reach Pati Bhanjyang village, from here with a short steep climb to reach last overnight stop at Chisapani. A scenic and beautiful place where you can have excellent views of sunrise and sunset over an array of peaks from Jugal Himal range in the north with Ganesh Himal-Manaslu and Annapurna range in the far west direction.Day 11: Trek to Sundarijal drive to Kathmandu - 04 hrs.
Final day trek of the adventure with morning views of the sunrise over a range of mountains as walk leads into the cool shade of forest and farmlands with views of Kathmandu valley and then taking a long descend to reach a road head at Sundarijal, a beautiful place within forest and streams.On reaching Sundarijal, a small farm town where drive brings you back at Kathmandu after an enjoyable and great moment on Langtang valley Treks and Gosainkund Lake where a drive leads past great Stupa of Bouddhanath, then back to your hotel in Kathmandu.
