Mardi Himal Trekking with White Lotus adventure leads you off the main trail of the busy Annapurna trekking route , heading beyond human settlement and farm villages within the serene wilderness of deep forest and close views of high mountains of Annapurna range. Mardi Himal Trekking once in early days explored by pioneers and named the area as ‘Other Sanctuary’ after main Annapurna Sanctuary located further northwest direction, Mardi Himal lies on the bottom of towering Machhapuchare Himal famous as Fish-Tail, due to its twin summits.

Mardi Himal Trekking takes you in the hidden corners of Annapurna Himalaya less visited areas by mass flow of trekkers, an opportunity to be in a pristine environment and close to high mountains. Mardi Himal Trekking begins with an exciting short drive to reach the walking point and then climb to reach the mid hill with a grand panorama of Annapurna and Manaslu range of mountains from Dhampus and Potana hill villages populated by Gurung people of Buddhism religion and interesting culture.

Walk soon leaves main farm villages heading into quiet and tranquil areas within a deep forest of rhododendron and pines and then tree lines disappear on reaching our destination at High Camp and Mardi Himal base camp with fabulous scenery of mountains and rolling green hills. After an exciting and enjoyable moment down to warmer areas within farm villages on the road-head for the drive back to the beautiful city at Pokhara by its calm Phewa Lake, with glorious experience on Mardi Himal Trekking.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu options for a sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Day 03: Drive or Fly to Pokhara 860 m (30 mins by air) with 6 hrs overland.
Day 04: Drive to Dhampus 1,540 m and trek to Potana 1,895 m - 04 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Kokar Forest camp 2,515 m via Deurali 2, 050 m - 05 hr
Day 06: Trek to Badal Danda / Low Camp 2,970 m - 05 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to High Camp 3,700 m - 05 hrs.
Day 08: At High Camp for a hike to Mardi Himal base camp above 4,495 m.
Day 09: Trek to Low Camp - 05 hrs.

Trek Itinerary Detail:
Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to hotel.

On reaching Kathmandu international airport received by White Lotus staff/guide for short transfer in the heart of Kathmandu at Thamel area an interesting place after checking into your hotel room, meet at the hotel lobby for group briefing regarding Annapurna Base Camp Trekking with other information to make your stay in Nepal enjoyable. The evening includes welcome dinner in authentic Nepalese restaurants with culture programs of the country.

Day 02: In Kathmandu options for a sightseeing tour and trek preparation.

Free day in Kathmandu for leisure activities where you can join in our sightseeing tour around the city places of Interest as Kathmandu valley steeped with world heritage sites, rest of the day preparation for Mardi Himal Trekking

Day 03: Drive or Fly to Pokhara 860 m (30 mins by air) with 6 hrs overland.

Morning overland journey to Pokhara of about 5- 6 hrs drive to reach Nepal Mid-West where ride leads past interesting farm villages and towns with views of snow-capped mountains till you reach Pokhara. On arrival transfer to your hotel by the lakeside of Phewa, with time for short walk around the lakeside with views of Annapurna peaks. Dinner either in respective hotels or outside restaurants near the lakeside (Flight options 30 minutes to reach Pokhara by air from Kathmandu)

Day 04: Drive to Dhampus 1,540 m - 02 hrs trek to Potana 1,895 m - 03 hrs.

After a pleasant stop at a scenic and beautiful Pokhara enjoying views of Annapurna Himal and Machhapuchare peaks 'Fish Tail', after breakfast taking a drive beyond Pokhara valley to start our first-day trek to high and mid-hills of Annapurna Himalaya. Drive leads along with grand views of Annapurna past farm villages and towns and then heading towards high hill around large farm village at Dhampus facing grand panorama of Annapurna, Manaslu range includes towering Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’. From this beautiful view spot, walk leads higher along hill trails into forest areas to reach another scenic spot in a village at Potana for an overnight stop with great views of Annapurna Mountains.

Day 05: Trek to Kokar Forest camp 2,515 m via Deurali 2, 050 m - 05 hrs.

After a nice and enjoyable overnight at Potana, morning walk continues on main trail reaching at a hilltop at Pitam Deurali, facing views of landscapes and snow peaks. From Deurali our route heads north leaving the main trekking trails into sheer wilderness where walks leads along a ridgeline into serene forested area with cool temperature views of Annapurna I and South and Huinchuli, including Annapurna IV -II and Lamjung Himal towards east after a good walk reaching our overnight stop in the midst of forest surrounding at Kokar Forest Camp with few basic lodges for trekkers.

Day 06: Trek to Badal Danda / Low Camp 2,970 m - 05 hrs.

From Forest Camp, where morning walk heads to the steep uphill path with a steep climb to reach a pasture land for an overnight stop on route Mardi-Fish Tail base camp with super views of surrounding landscapes and mountains at close range.

Day 07: Trek to High Camp 3,700 m - 05 hrs.

This scenic spot offers a grand panorama of beautiful landscapes and snow-clad peaks in perfect tranquility heading higher to reach at High Camp as the air gets thinner and cooler with a steep climb to reach High Camp where tree lines fade to short rhododendron and juniper bushes. Here at High Camp with a lonely lodge for overnight accommodation with basic facilities commanding super views of Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 08: At High Camp for a hike to Mardi Himal base camp above 4,495 m.

Another day with an overnight stop at High Camp to explore around Mardi Himal and Fish Tail base camp, walk leads towards the high ridge on the highest point of the trek above 4,490 m. The walk leads to a steep climb along a ridgeline to reach a hidden plateau at the base of Mardi Himal South Face with towering Mt. Machhapuchare; this area known as 'Other Sanctuary' named by early pioneer Jimmy Roberts, when he first explored this area in early 1960's. After enjoying the views of super mountain panorama return back on the same route to our overnight stop.

Day 09: Trek to Low Camp - 04 hrs.

After being in high areas of Mardi Himal downhill towards deeply forested areas reaching at Low Camp with free afternoon for short walks around this nice peaceful surroundings.

Day 10: Trek to Siding village 1, 680 m - 05 hrs.

After marvelous time on high ridges of Mardi Himal with great views heading back into forest of rhododendron and pines trees, retracing the journey back on same trail at Jungle Camp and beyond with more downhill walk to reach at Sidang village located at the junction of East and West route towards Mardi Himal areas, at Sidang farm village for overnight stop ending our long day nice walks.

Day 11: Drive back to Pokhara 860 m short walk with 2 hrs rides.

Morning catching fantastic views of snow peaks, last day walk leads to the road head for short drive back to Pokhara, leading past Mardi Pul with views of mountains on route Pokhara, where our Mardi Himal and Fish Tail base camp trekking concludes at picturesque Pokhara by the calm lake of Phewa Lake for last overnight stop around Annapurna region.

Day 12: Drive / Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

The morning after breakfast drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway past farm villages and town with last few hours climbs to reach the valley rim that takes you into the city of Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. (Flight options 30 minutes to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara by air)

Day 13: International Departure homeward bound or respective countries.

As per your international flight time for homeward bound or to next respective destinations, depart from the hotel where White Lotus staff transfer you to Kathmandu International airport with final farewell after a great adventure and experience on Mardi Himal Trekking.
